ACNEDAP 5% GEL

Acnedap 5% Gel is an antibiotic commonly used with rifampicin and clofazimine for the treatment of leprosy. It is also used as a secondary drug for the treatment and prevention of Pneumocystis pneumonia, prevention of toxoplasmosis in patients with weakened immune function. It is also used in the treatment of acne, herpes dermatitis, and various other skin conditions. Acnedap 5% gel can be used for both topical and oral administrations. Acnedap 5% Gel was one of the first drugs used to treat moderate to severe acne and is still prescribed in severe cases.

This drug belongs to the class of antibiotics used to treat leprosy. This drug prevents bacterial synthesis and the formation of dihydrofolic acid. It helps reduce symptoms associated with leprosy by replacing para-aminobenzoate.

DOSAGE

Missed dose

As soon as possible, take the missed dose. If it’s time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not use additional medications to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency treatment or see a doctor in case of overdose.

Pregnant
